CPR and First Aid Training
Committee Chair: Joan Tannen   [email protected]

SOS offers CPR and First Aid training every spring.  This important safety training is usually conducted by the Annapolis Fire Department paramedics at one of their facilities.  It takes about six hours with a lot of hands-on participation.  Participants earn an American Heart Association certification.  Approximately 20 members attend.

CPR and First Aid training is usually held on a Saturday in March.

This training is arranged in advance and is announced to the SOS membership in the Whisker Pole with the sign-up fee and the deadline date.  The club subsidizes the cost of the certifications.

Volunteers are needed for assistance with the following tasks:

Registrations and attendee communications:  A volunteer is needed to manage registrations as they are submitted and sign attendees in as they arrive on site at the event.

Food:  Attendees are provided with a light breakfast and lunch.  Volunteers are needed to purchase the food in advance, bring it to the facility on the day of the event, and set it out for attendees to serve themselves.

Promotions:  A volunteer is needed to write promotional articles for the Whisker Pole over a month in advance and then again as the event gets closer.

Your support for this important safety training would be greatly appreciated!
