Social Activities

During sailing season, several parties are held at yacht clubs or marinas on the Chesapeake Bay. Members elect to sail in and enjoy the facilities of the club or marina, or they may choose to arrive by car. The major sailing season parties include:

DNR Cruise & Party
May 16-17 DNR Duck Lodge Wye Island

Our first cruise and party of the sailing season. Members sail or drive in for a weekend food, fun, music and dancing.

Anniversary Cruise & Party
June 27-28 Lankford Bay Marina, Chester River

Celebrate the club's founding. Each year a different theme is selected with appropriate decorations, food, entertainment and a DJ provides music for dancing.

Seafood Feast Cruise & Party
August 28-29 Haven Harbor South, Rock Hall, MD

This is the largest SOS social sailing event of the year. Members sail or drive in to enjoy eating seafood, sailing, sunsets, socializing and dancing on a beautiful August weekend.

Brunches - Monthly November - March

Sunday morning brunches are held in the Annapolis area. A speaker on a sailing-related topic highlights each brunch.
